Jesus said in answer, “Truly, I say to you, If a man’s birth is not from water and the spirit, it is not possible for him to go into the kingdom of God."
Jesús dijo en respuesta, “verdad, digo a usted, si un nacimiento’del hombre s no es de agua y del alcohol, él no soy posible para que él entre el reino del dios."
What a difference a drop of rain can give to a dry land. I took my family through Death Valley--one of the driest and hottest places in California. But the scene was totally different – there had been a change to rain. Nature was alive, there were many flowers, the air was misty and the trip was pleasant. My friends could not believe it, until they saw the pictures.
Una qué diferencia una gota de la lluvia puede dar a una tierra seca. Tomé a mi familia a través del valle de muerte -- uno de los lugares más secos y más calientes de California. Pero la escena era totalmente diferente – allí había sido un cambio a la lluvia. La naturaleza estaba viva, había muchas flores, el aire era misty y el viaje era agradable. Jesus said “Whoever takes the water I give him will never be in need of drink again,
Jesús dijo que “quienquiera toma el agua que lo doy nunca estaré en la necesidad de la bebida otra vez
for the water I give him will become in him a fountain of eternal life”
Dry lands were well known to those living in Israel. Jesus was saying a meaningful thing when talking of the fountain of life. For a people used to the waste lands of Judea, the meaning was clear. To the woman at the well: “Sir, give me this water” was her ready response.
Las tierras secas eran bien sabido a ésas que vivían en Israel. Jesús decía una cosa significativa al hablar de la fuente de la vida. Para una gente usada a los eriales de Judea, el significado estaba claro. A la mujer en el pozo: “El sir, me da que esta agua” era su respuesta lista.
And she drank that water, for she said to the people “Come and see … is it possible that this is the Christ?”
¿Y ella bebió esa agua, porque ella dijo a la gente “viene y ve … es él posible que éste es el Cristo?”
Before that , she was born of water, but now she was born of the spirit.
Antes que, ella nació del agua, pero ahora ella fue llevado del alcohol.
Prayer: Lord, May we become a fountain of life as we too are born of the spirit. Amen.
